The Splitter gives you the tools to turn your CD and Blu-ray Audio collection into your own personal music library, no streaming service required. The application uses battle tested and proven tools to convert your media into standard FLAC audio files with no compression or loss in quality.
Blu-ray Audio
- The Splitter will load stereo audio .mkv files extracted from Blu-ray audio discs, detect the chapters, and create individual FLAC files that you can drop right into your music server.
- Use the built-in lookup through Musicbrainz and Discogs to download the artist and title, album artwork, song titles, and other metadata.
- Our encode process splits the single .mkv file into individual, uncompressed FLAC files with no loss in bit depth or sample rate with full embedded metadata and album artwork.
CD Ripping with Confidence
- The Splitter also has a full featured CD ripper. Simply insert a CD and the app searches MusicBrainz and Discogs for potential matches, then sets the artist, title, and song titles.
- The app offers two layers of data integrity to ensure bit-accurate rips. The first option reads each track twice and compares the resulting files and flags any discrepancies before encoding. The second option uses CD Paranoia, an open source library that provides data verification and compensates for sub-par media to ensure bit-accurate reads from any of your CDs.
Metadata Done Right
- The application also features a full metadata editor, allowing you to edit metadata of any songs in your music library regardless of what tool originally tagged the files.
- Album artwork can be optimized to work with the image size limits your network streamer or portable device.
- Edit files individually or open an entire folder to apply bulk edits to all files at once.
